Serve the City

Even before Toronto was a city, Knox was located in the heart of it! Our vision and mission is shaped by our city and our faith implores us to love it to bits.

Each season we have key ministries that meet the needs of a variety of people in our neighbourhood. If you’re interested in serving the city with us, take a look at the ministries below and reach out their leader to start the discernment process of how you’ll participate in God’s work in the city this year. And, of course, if you’d benefit from the opportunities offered through these activities, please join in as a participant.

Knox Youth Dinner and Food Bank — Tuesday evenings, November to April. Creating a safe place for community and delicious meal for street involved youth through the winter months. Contact

ESL Mondays — Monday evenings, September to June. Conversational lessons for English learners + a warm meal to start our time together. Contact Colin McCordic at

Tea and Tots Wednesdays from 10am-12pm, September to June. A drop-in time for parents, caregivers and their kids 0-5yrs. Help with set up, clean up, or refreshments. Contact Natasha Chandler,

Adopt-a-Student — An annual program to match students and newcomers to the city with experienced city dwellers from the church. The goal: to help students find home and family fast in a city that can feel overwhelming. The commitment is usually from September through April. Summer Camp — July and August. We’ve been loving kids and parents in our neighbourhood for a long time through hosting an excellent summer camp. Each year there are opportunities for both summer employment and volunteering. All the details are on our camp site:
