Sundays at Knox

At Knox, worship is about God: about God’s story, about God’s church, and about God’s mission. Worship marks the beginning of our week: a holy time set aside to encounter God together, receive from the Spirit, and be sent out with Jesus into our weekday lives.

Through the year, we offer two worship services most Sundays (for some holidays and special celebrations, we join into one service — those are noted in announcements and online as they come up). Each service usually has the same teaching, but each has its own characteristics.

11am — At our morning worship service you’ll find the widest diversity of people. We most often have a choir to lead us in worship. We offer children’s ministry and nursery care. We also have support for English learners before and after the service.

4:30pm — This Fall we are entering a season of renewed vision for our afternoon worship service. We are growing a worshipping community where people find themselves rooted and established in love, and moved in action to be filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:14-19). We are especially aware of the needs of our neighbours—young, urban, rootless without family in the city, community, and seeking direction—and we pray our 4:30 worship will be a time and place for our friends and neighbours to encounter the Source of Love we’ve found peace in.

Come at 4:15 to talk with people before the service and find in our sanctuary space to quiet yourself from all the busyness of the world around us and prepare to encounter the living God.
