Vision Series
September 12-26, 2021
We are a church that is Following Jesus, Loving the City, and Serving the World. That’s who we are and that’s at the core of everything that we’re trying to do.
As we begin a new ministry year, we’ll take the first three weeks to walk through this vision statement and consider what it means to be a church, and a people, who have these goals at our centre and how they may challenge us as we do all the things that we do: not only on Sunday, but Monday through Saturday as well.

Faith † Work
October 3-31, 2021
“If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as a Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, ’Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.” – Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Work occupies most of our waking hours – whether or not we’re paid for the work that we do, if we’re at school, home, or the office, if it’s our passion or just something we do to pay the bills, work is a central reality for almost all of our lives.
We’re also a people who are called to love and serve God with all of who we are, and so we must wonder: how does our work relate to the work which God is doing in the world? How do the spreadsheets which we pore over, the facilities which we inspect, the goods which we manufacture, actually connect with the lives of faith which we are called to exhibit in all that we do?
Join us through this series as we’ll consider five specific types of work and imagine together the ways they point to and reveal the kingdom of God by the people who do them and develop, alongside of us, an expanded imagination for the way that all of our labours may bring glory to God and be acts of joyful worship to him.
