In this era of cultural diversity, the church has to be effective in responding to the needs of people from different backgrounds to minister to them effectively. We are also seeing such diversity in our neighborhoods and answering Jesus’s question of who our neighbor is means being able to communicate with such cultural sensitivity in mind. Those involved in ministries where participants come from different cultures and nations also necessitate intercultural skills. The cultural sensitivity training seeks to equip congregants in intercultural skills. To attain this, the training seeks to:

• Understand the meaning and fundamentals of culture as key to understanding the nuances of behaviour and values;

• Appreciate cultural differences and respect different cultural backgrounds;

• Learn the basics of cultural sensitivity to effectuate the formation of a culturally-sensitive ministry

The training will be a three-hour session that will utilize concepts in intercultural development and connect these to biblical foundations. The training will be delivered online.
