There are more than 70 million refugees worldwide due to forcible displacement, wars, and economic and social dislocation. Many seek to find a new life in Canada. Adam House, as a refugee shelter, seeks to provide housing and settlement support to refugee claimants. As a response to God's call to show compassion to refugees, the Run with Refugees seeks to raise $12,000 to support the work of Adam House. Knox's Run with Refugees joins Adam House's current and former residents, staff, volunteers and other church groups walking and running at this annual Adam House fundraiser.
Join in the fun walk/run and be a part of God's work.
Walk or run with us.
Run, walk, bike — however you best get through 8km of the city. There’s no fee to register and all ages are welcome! Participants will meet at Adam House's Booth House (231 Booth Avenue) at 9:30am and walk/run to the original Adam House at 430 Gladstone Avenue, where lunch will be served. Two water stations will be en route, at Grace Toronto Church (383 Jarvis Street) and at Knox. Participants may choose to meet the group at one of the water stations if the total 8.5 km route is too far.
