When a local or global crises arises, we call our church community to a Gracious Response — we pray and we give.

Pray

As the war in Ukraine escalates, we call our church community to commit to pray. The news will provide enough material for each of us to pray, but our pastors will continue to provide points of prayer in our weekly communications and through our social media. Many of our supported missionaries have connections in Ukraine, so we also encourage you to tap into prayer needs arising from their newsletters and organizations you follow.

Give

To give, we're asking our church to give to the efforts of the Red Cross. Money raised will enable the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to respond to humanitarian needs generated by almost eight years of conflict, as well as preparedness and response efforts due to heightened tensions in Ukraine.

The Government of Canada has pledged to match every donation made by individual Canadians to the Canadian Red Cross between February 24, 2022, and March 18, 2022, up to a maximum of $10 million.
