Sermon Series: The Drama of Scripture
October 22 - November 26
The Bible is God’s story and it can encourage us and give us hope like nothing else in the world. But sometimes we find it hard to understand. We often read it in piecemeal fashion, dipping into the parts we like, here and there. But Scripture can only be truly understood as a whole. This 6-part series will help us to get a sense of the overall Christian message. Starting in Genesis and wrapping up in Revelation, we’ll make our way through the whole Bible, thinking of it like a play with six acts: Creation, Fall, Covenant, Christ, Church, and Consummation. Once you see how the narrative holds together and grasp its most important themes, the puzzle looks more like a beautiful picture of God’s love in Jesus Christ and less like a chaotic jumble.
See the outline of our themes below. Sign up for our weekly email to learn what scripture we’ll be looking at each Sunday!
