October is Missions Month!

Mission is the heartbeat of God. He seeks to redeem humanity and bring reconciliation to a world that is blighted by sin. As a church, we participate in God’s mission. Whether local, national, or global, we seek to make sure that God’s heartbeat is experienced and felt by those we seek to serve and love.

As we continue to reach out to our local community through different mission initiatives and support missionaries near and far, we recognize the important task of developing and renewing a missional culture within our church community. This year we’re starting something new: October Missions Month!

Missions Month will be a month-long celebration to reflect on, learn about, and deepen our understanding of our four strategic mission priorities we’ve felt the Spirit lead us to establish: Diaspora ministry, Student ministry, Justice and Mercy ministry, and Muslim ministry. Through guest preachers, events for any in our community to join, and special events for our mission partners, we’ll highlight aspects of our mission priorities. We invite you now to pull out your calendar, see what events we have lined up, and make your plans to join in!

As followers of Jesus, we are all called by God to fulfill his Great Commission. Let’s do it together!
